Kind of Bleu is a collection of vivid, fractured portraits that explores the many selves held within a single face. Built through bold fields of blue, turquoise, red, orange, yellow, green, and black, each work turns color and geometry into an emotional language.

The figures in this series are not meant to resolve into one fixed identity. Their planes, angles, and overlapping expressions hold tenderness and strength, joy and grief, history and futurism at the same time. In this world, fragmentation is not damage, it is dimension. It is proof that a person can contain contradiction, complexity, and possibility.

Drawing from the playful architecture of Cubism while remaining rooted in a contemporary visual voice, Austin Damiano transforms portraiture into a meeting place between memory, mood, and imagination. Faces become landscapes. Eyes become portals. Every color carries its own charge, while every line asks the viewer to look again.
